Building Bridges

"Building Bridges" is a project that aims to search for ways to promote tolerance, respect, understanding and cooperation as core values that are needed for creating a world that works for everyone.

As youth workers, we are aware of our influence on youngsters we work with and we find it important to bring those values to youth work and pass them onto the next generation. In the world nowadays, we are witnessing conflicts on all the levels of society structures. On the small, personal scale, conflicts among family members or friends, on a larger level conflicts among groups, teams and communities and on the level of the world and politics, conflicts among nations, governments, political parties. We believe that it sets a very wrong example to the young people and in order for them to create a different context and a different future, they need to be able to imagine it, experience it and have tools to make a change.

With this project, we want to look for ways that "build bridges" among groups, generations, communities or teams, despite the differences. We want to work on the idea that a world that functions on win-win strategy and where everybody's needs are met, is possible.
